Abby was born with a complex Congenital Heart Defect and required a number of open heart surgeries at a very young age. Despite her strength and resilience, Abby passed away in 2018 at five years old.

Throughout Abby’s life, her parents did their best to surround her with love and positivity, and began “paying it forward” with random acts of kindness. The community caught on and the pay-it-forward movement in Abby’s name was started, reaching as far as Mexico and Europe! To continue this movement, her family organized We Believe in Abby Family Day (www.webelieveinabby.ca), a fundraising event for SickKids.

The Motive Media team was touched by Abby’s story and decided to pay it forward like her family did so many times before. For the fourth year in a row, Motive Media is proud to be the signage sponsor for We Believe in Abby Family Day. This year’s event will be held on June 15 at the Hickstead Memorial Park in Schomberg, Ontario. All proceeds will go towards the development of the Abby Everson Memorial Park.
